“Yeah have to agree with you mate.... Commons are the best to catch... They just seem to fight a bit harder than mirrors. Clattercote is definately up there as one of my favourite fisheries for runs. Im going to try and get up there soon so may see you there.

Fish anywhere else round that way? ”

“Yeah.. Same here.. After a 20 this year! They seem to escape me everytime and go to Bazil Brushs baits instead!! )

Theres a couple of reservoirs around Clattercote.. Boddington is a similar fishery.. Fish havent grown on as fast as they have a Clattercote but its another one of those waters where I would guarentee fish. Naesby aswell.. Bit further afield but another clattercote like reservoir. Clattercote is my favorite out of the three though.

Never fished Linear or St Johns... Any good? Im planning on a season fishing lakes I havent before so very interested to get opinions before casting out!

I aslo fish Furnace Lakes in Sussex a lot.. Its kind of turned into my local lakes now. And with 7 lakes and Carp over 50lb as well as Catfish over 90lb it becomes interesting. Not an easy fishery though.. Roman Lake and Kiln are the best 2 lakes in my opinion... Bazil Brush will tell you about his 64lb Cat from Roman! Bazil... Is it not time you posted up a picture of the beast??

Yeah definatley let me know when your going next and Ill try and get up there.. and visa-versa. Never have too many fishing buddies!”

“we was thinking of going to boddingtion a few times but we always end up at clattercote some how lol...as for stjohn its got to be the most fished lake at linear id say witch makes it a med to a hard water and the fish are line shy so back leads are a must on there well id say on all linears lake your best of back leading....bait is a hard one i tend to use what i think is right i dont tend to go with what most people are using or catching on but in my view i dont think that there is ever a wrong bait no matter what some people say just do what is normal bud also they have some big cats in stjohn so bazil brush will be happy or if you dont like the sound of fishing there you could always try Orchid lake for there carp or there club lake for there cats....your right you can never have to many fishing buddies the more you have the better you will all become as you will swop tips tricks over the years oh try oxlease on linear thats a good lake for a 20 or brasnose 1 thats there runs water there have you looked on the linear web site??”
